INTERVIEW WITH BELINDA RUSSELL

 

Navy had the opportunity today to interview a journalist from Channel 9 News in Sydney.  Belinda has worked in a number of roles in her career in broadcast journalism, including A Current Affair and Skye News in London.  We learnt that journalism can be lots of fun as you meet a variety of different people.  Belinda has met some famous people, like Tom Cruise and Antonio Bandanas, and interviewed them about their jobs.  We got to ask her a lot of questions about journalism and how to pitch ideas and put stories together.

PEER MEDIATION role play

 

Year 6 leaders have been learning how to mediate problems, this will help the school in a positive way by reducing playground problems.  These are also great skills for students to learn and use in their own lives.  Year 5 will begin their training next week, so that they are ready to take over from Year 6 as leaders for next year.

DISCOVERY TIME

Navy have been busy exploring an area of interest for them.  We looked at all the learning we have done this year and decided on a topic that individually exploration was desired.  There was a variety of work produced.  Well done Navy!
