Today we looked at how our world is influenced by place and space. We looked particularly at indigenous dance and how this is a language that others can understand. We also explored how Li (Maos Last Dancer) felt when dancing when everything else in America felt foreign.

Year 6 Leadership day
The Year 6 students travelled to meet with 10 other Catholic Primary schools from the Gold Coast to gather together for leadership activities. We listened to guest speakers including Wayne Bennett (sporting coach), Pam Betts (Executive Director of Brisbane Catholic Education) and Michael (Visiting school). We learned that leadership is not about being the 'top dog', but supporting from the bottom, that it is not always about themselves, and that the best choice is often the hardest.
Reading
Today we were trying to identify phrases and clauses within different types of sentences. We learnt that there are main clauses and subordinate clauses.
