In Navy we have continued with our creation stage and the Space Station is really coming to life. 

Here are some on the inventions still in progress:

         

    

The Writing focus has shifted to Information reports. The children have started using their knowledge to write reports full of facts they know. They are also looking at the reading strategy of skimming. This week we are continuing with their Science experiments and have been looking at living things and how they change and grow. Here is an example of one of Tiah’s Alfalfa seed experiment:

        

In Numeracy we are focusing on mapping and using map coding. It would be great if at home you could help discuss mapping technology such as Google Maps, GPS devices and Street directories, to assist with their learning.
